knitting in Vermont

I'm back in the Green Mountain state for a spell. Appropriately enough, I brought along my green yarn and am plowing through a leaf-patterned shawl that I've designed for it.

It is so glorious here! We've been kayaking

and considering the waterlilies

and catching painted turtles

Truly a place to nourish one's soul (and inspire some serious knitting!)

Looks like fun!

Years and years ago one of my ex's brothers built a big pond in his yard. We went boating and got some painted turtles for it. On the ride to his place in my old Sunbird the turtles peed on the floor! lol!

We were in Vermont too! Well, passing through Burlington on our way to an extended family vacation in the Adirondacks. Love all the deep, rich colors in your pics.
