Mountain Man returned home yesterday from two weeks of fieldwork in the Atacama desert, and he brought me back a magnificent jewel: a ball of handspun, naturally dyed alpaca yarn in a luminous grass green. He found it in an artisan's shop in San Pedro de Atacama and carefully transported it home amongst the rock samples and dusty boots.
Now that's love.

that is awesome and so beautiful I wish my man did stuff like that for me :-)
Wow!
He obviously has great taste in women and yarn!
what a great gift! "luminous" is the perfect word for that yarn - it's gorgeous! what will you make with it?
i also wanted to say - i've been enjoying all of your summery knits lately.

Love that color! What a thoughtful man. :)
The colour is really beautiful, although I don't like green so much, I love the colour of that yarn. What was used to dye the yarn to give it such colour?
That is love! What a wonder of a green color. Do you go by and touch it all the time?
I think the true jewel is the thoughtful husband! However we can't neglect the spectacular photo you took of a ball of your in my absolute favorite color! I love the entire concept here of the handspun in this color in such a lovely photo. Bravo!
