I find knitting up baby blankets a wonderfully meditative activity where one can knit into each stitch the intentions of hope and love for the receiver. Yes, we can do this with EVERY item we knit (or crochet, or weave, etc.)...but a baby blanket represents new life, hope, dreams for the future of the little one who is to be wrapped in it. Precious!
