I knit all week.
Through three days of a conference. Through the weekend climbing excursion to the Refuge.
but. UGH. Did not drape prettily as it had in my head. (Speaking of my head, I had to chop it out of the picture because I kept making horrid faces. UGH.)
Tolerable when wrapped and tied, which was how I primarily intended to wear it. But. Still.
I'm going to need some distance from this pond scum before I figure out what to do with it!
Maybe it will do better after blocking?
ReplyDeleteoh no!! I hate it when that happens. A good wet blocking could really make a huge difference with the drape- but then it'll probably also grow, as well.
ReplyDeleteUGH I hate it when that happens! Although, most of the time I learn something from the first try, and can apply it to the second try and it usually comes out better then I planned. Sometimes you just need to put it down for a while and come back to it fresh :-) Peace
ReplyDeleteBlock it, finishing can make a world of difference in the finished project.
ReplyDeleteLove the color tho.
ReplyDeletedon't ya just hate it when that happens! The image in your head looks awesome then for some odd reason the actual item... ugh!
ReplyDeleteNot to much knitting been done here last week, not much of anything been done. Got a puppy for my birthday last week who is occupying alot of my attention, lol. He only now is 7 weeks old and a terrier... and male... and very stubborn! We are establishing that i am the aplha!
IT is going to be great. I love it already...
